Bacon announces campaign team and Mingo Endorsement

CAMPAIGN TEAM AND MAJOR ENDORSEMENT
(Columbus 1/11/17) – Conservative Republican Kevin Bacon announced his campaign team today along with the endorsement of Franklin County Auditor Clarence Mingo.
Bacon said he's honored to have Mingo's support.
"Clarence was a contender as a candidate for statewide office and he was spoken about as a possible candidate in the race for congress," Bacon said. "I'm honored that he has the confidence in me to endorse my candidacy to replace Pat Tiberi."
The Bacon campaign has also received the endorsements of other conservatives and elected officials and will be making additional announcements in coming days.
Bacon also announced his campaign team, saying that it was the foundation of an all out effort to win both the primary election and the special election to replace Pat Tiberi.
"These advisors have combined decades of experience," Bacon said. "Their knowledge and guidance is important and I'm excited to work with them."
The campaign consultant is Mark Weaver from Communications Counsel. Weaver has advised over 700 campaigns in 20 states.
Laura Bates is leading fundraising efforts. Laura previously worked for Brooke Bodney on Josh Mandel's and John Kasich's campaigns.
The Tarrance Group is the pollster for the campaign. The Tarrance Group has extensive experience in Ohio, having previously worked with Governor John Kasich, U.S. Senator Rob Portman and several members of the United States House of Representatives.
In addition, the campaign has retained nationally recognized campaign finance compliance firm Campaign Financial, working with Emily Hoover.
Bacon said that very quickly his campaign has launched and reached a fever pitch.
"We've gone from zero to 100 very quickly," Bacon said. "I'm busy raising funds and meeting voters and I'm excited to share my vision for protecting our conservative values."
Kevin Bacon is currently a state senator and previously served as a state representative. He’s a lawyer practicing in the area of estate planning, small business law and real estate law. He’s been active in the community with organizations such as Prevent Blindness Ohio and the Dublin-Worthington Rotary.
Bacon graduated from Miami University and received his law degree from Capital Law School. He and his family make Franklin County their home.
