CONSERVATIVE KEVIN BACON ENDORSED BY FRANKLIN COUNTY REPUBLICAN PARTY
Party Commits to Bacon Because of His Principles and Ability to Win
Columbus, OH (2/27/18) – Lifelong conservative Kevin Bacon received the endorsement from the Franklin County Republican Party in his campaign for Ohio’s 12th Congressional District.
“I’m humbled to obtain this endorsement,” Bacon said. “Our campaign really picked up a lot of momentum over the past month, and the Franklin County Republican Party Central Committee recognized this.”
The county central committee voted to endorse Bacon on the first ballot. First ballot endorsements only occur when a candidate has a majority of all the committee votes present.
“Kevin told us where he stands on the issues and illustrated a clear path to victory,” Executive Committee Chairman Doug Preisse said. “Kevin is a principled conservative with a strong electoral record. He wins elections without sacrificing what he believes in.”
Bacon was endorsed by the NRA and Ohio Right to Life in every one of his statehouse elections. According to lifetime ratings from the American Conservative Union, the organization that sponsors CPAC, Kevin Bacon is the most conservative legislator in the race.
“He understands the people of Central Ohio,” Central Committee Chair Brad Sinnott said. “No one is better suited to fix a broken Washington than Kevin Bacon.”
